He led the creation of critical instruments like the Vibration Insensitive Phase Shift Interferometer and contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission.

Formerly as a scientist at ISRO, he led successful space shuttle checkout operations for PSLV and GSLV launch campaigns, including the Mars Orbiter Mission.
